Late News. Jim Miley calling his team ‘Two under Pa’ and other willing participants will participate in a marathon, playing 72 holes in one day, on Monday 14^th December. The event is to raise funds for the Cancer Council. If there is anyone who would like to contribute the fund, information is available on the Cancer Council web-site.

On the first tee at Royal Canberra Golf Club, a hacker teed off directly into a tree. The ball struck square in the middle and came screaming back past the caddy back to the tee. The golfer dropped his cub and caught the ball just in time to keep himself from being struck in the head.

Regaining his composure, he turned to his caddie. “What should I do now?” he asked.

“Why not try the same shot again, sir. But this time, keep your hands in your pockets.”
