Swansea Golf Club Report

The Lyne Trophy sponsored by Springvale Vineyards was convincingly won by Karl Wadley with an exceptional round of 70 off the stick and a net score of 57. He rounded off his very successful day by collecting the nearest to the pin prize on the 8th/17th hole.

 

Max Hall put in a strong showing to fill the runner up position with a net score of 60. Equal third placing went to Ian Wallace and Francis Dowling with scores of 61. Balls down the line went to Darryl Down, John Cotton and Louise McKenna. Nearest to the pin winners were Trent Gray, Karl Wadley and Sally Siepen. During the prize presentation members expressed their thanks and appreciation to The Lyne family and family representative, Sally Siepen for the generous sponsorship and ongoing support. Next week there will be a normal competition which will run in conjunction with the first day of the Club Championships. Tee off time for Sunday will be decided on Saturday.
