Swansea is 90 minutes north of Hobart (134Km) and south east of Launceston (133Km). Swansea Golf Course is a nine-hole course and is right on the coast at Waterloo Point, a short walk from the town centre. The views across Great Oyster Bay to Freycinet Peninsula and the ‘Hazards’ are breathtaking.
Swansea is a well-supported community course with regular competitions and events. The club is gender neutral and has full (adult), junior and social membership categories. The members also compete in the East Coast Veterans’ events and an annual inter club competition between Freycinet, Orford, Bicheno, and Swansea clubs.
Visitors are always welcome. Golf clubs are available for use and are included as part of your green fees, should you need the use of a set. Members and guests can enjoy a drink and snack in the club house after their round each Saturday and on other selected days.
The Swansea Golf Club is a community spirited facility, it is host to local groups including, the Monday Exercise group, Qigong group, Mah-Jong group, and the local Friday craft group. The May Shaw Lunch with Friends meet every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month and the Swansea Men’s Probus Club each 2nd Tuesday of the month. Swansea Lions International also conduct their meetings at the club.
